  • Too Tired

We had a good day here in Springfield at the first NCHB Tip Off Tourney. Tim did a great job organizing it all. We have 8 varsity boys teams from 8 states. The varsity girls have 7 teams. The Jr. High boys have 4 as do the Jr. High girls. It was a long, busy day. I took care of registering the teams and getting the players their t-shirts.Picture 003-1

Tim coached two games, assisted Rob in two games, and oversaw the tourney at the two gyms. He is exhausted and went right to bed after he had an Andy’s Frozen Custard sundae.  I’m simply tired. I did get some hand quilting done on my Road to Oklahoma Christmas lap quilt and that was encouraging. Ashley and I were able to hang out at times throughout the day and I enjoyed that. She’s doing well.

On posted an update and then he popped on the IM as I was getting ready to get off. He is on route to Quatar for his surprise 4 day pass for “good behavior.” That’s my boy!! I’m proud of him and so hope that he has an incredible leave full of rest, relaxing and fun!!

This is how it looks it looks when we IM. Pretty cool, huh?

    Here’s a close-up of his scowl.

Our tomorrow (Saturday) begins early with games, so I’m off to bed. Tomorrow I’ll try to get some pics to post. Love you all!

  • Hate to tell you this, but tiredness comes with age!!!  Glad things are going well.  Will be praying for Jon!

  • Glad to hear that the teams are doing well.  I hope that you are able to rest during the week.  I can’t wait to be able to come to some games.   I know that I am going to miss watching my brother play though.
