• A Long Chat With Jonathan

  

  Jonathan in Qatar during his four day pass enjoying a Starbucks. Doesn’t he look GOOD?? He sure does to his mother!! As I’m typing this I am actually on the phone talking to my boy. He had an awesome day in the sun, surf and sand! I’m so glad for him. He has a bit of a dilemma; he is the only one in his battalion (at least 650 solider) that has been given a pass. He really doesn’t understand why he was chosen. So now when he returns to his platoon what does he say when they ask him about his pass? He’s LOVED the Persian Gulf. He had a fantastic time jet skiing. The food has been great. The base even has a Chili’s which is one of his favorite places here in OKC. How can he go on and on when all his buddies are stuck in Afghanistan and will probably never get to that part of the world.

  

  

  Last night Tim called me on his way home from basketball practice to let me know that the sunset was beautiful. I quickly grabbed the card table and set the table outside. What a view! We enjoyed our gourmet meal of Taco Bell…
